This actuator is mostly 3D printed and quite cheap for its power. It is named after the second largest moon of Jupiter. Two 3D printed cross-roller bearings support the output. The reduction is achieved using the compound planetary gearbox. The first reduction stage is spur gear reduction with ratio 1:4. The compound planetary reduction is 1:28, which makes the total reduction of 1:112.

I recommend to use Bambu Lab A1 or Prusa MK3S printer. Other printers most probably would work too, if they are properly calibrated and all the axis are perpendicular to each other.

Features:

  • Integrated cross roller bearing
  • Stepper motor
  • Hollow shaft (cable passthrough: 30mm)
  • Outer diameter 184mm
  • Width without motor: 82.5mm
